- Supervision and Coordination: Coordinate, assign, and supervise the daily activities of farm workers and specialized livestock workers in the boar/swine unit.
- Supervise, monitor, and enforce procedures to maintain high standards of animal health and welfare and ensure all biosecurity protocols are strictly followed.
- Breeding Programs: Oversee and manage breeding and other livestock-related programs, which would include activities like artificial insemination specific to boar management.
- Work closely with technical specialists and management to implement nutritional strategies (using De Heus feed products) and optimize farm management practices to ensure optimal production and efficiency.
- Inspect farm buildings, infrastructure, and equipment (such as feeding systems or climate control) and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to ensure continuous, reliable operation.
- Compliance and Records: Ensure compliance with all government regulations, quality control, and health and safety standards. Maintain accurate production, operational, and financial records.
- Training and Development: Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of farm staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Address daily operational challenges related to animals, equipment, and staff, escalating issues to the Farm Manager when necessary.

- Have background in Husbandry/ Veterinary
- 5 year experience in swine farm management
- Experience in livestock/swine farming, specifically with boar/breeding management.
- Proven supervisory or leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of animal nutrition, health, and farm management techniques.
- Familiarity with farm safety, food safety, and biosecurity procedures.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and potentially use farm technology/software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
